I would highly recommend John’s Sketchup for Garden Design course. I signed up for the full course as I had struggled to teach myself and wanted to pick the skills up quickly. I knew Sketchup could transform my workflow and enable me to produce more professional presentations to clients. John is friendly and has a great teaching style which guided me through each step of developing designs in Sketchup. John’s extensive working knowledge of Sketchup is clearly demonstrated through his ability to give straightforward instructions and troubleshoot as required. It was also very helpful to see some of John’s client presentations from Layout that he shared during the course. The full course covered many skills and also the Layout programme and planting plans. John does stress the need to practice my newly gained skills and I found that this is helping me to consolidate my learning. John provides notes for each of the sessions together with a list of keyboard shortcuts; I have found these invaluable to practice my skills. Although I am a long way off being an expert I felt confident last weekend to tackle a design for my current assignment and am very pleased with the results achieved with a few hours practice - I couldn’t have done this without John’s expert tuition.

I have been working with SketchUp for about a year but only in 2D and mostly self taught. John was happy to accept me on the Intermediate course and to fill in a few foundation level gaps as we went. John's teaching style is clear, concise, patient, knowledgeable and adaptable.
